How to purchase with your charter school, ESA, or grant funding

Our memberships are available through ClassWallet, Theodore, various state grants, and many charter schools. Email info@learnlibre.com to see if yours is on the list, request to be added, or ask for ordering instructions.

Standards alignment

Do we have beef with boxing students and teachers into a generic set of standards that haphazardly jumps between topics instead of building naturally and progressively? Yes. Did we put that beef aside to assure outside forces that Learn Libre meets national science standards and reporting requirements? Also yes (without sacrificing the progressive lesson sequencing part).

Still have questions?

Always! We add new lessons every month. If there’s anything in particular that you want to see us cover, send an email to info@learnlibre.com.

Our program is used and loved in alternative schools, traditional ones, by homeschool families, at summer camps, and everywhere in between. If you want to teach real-world concepts through hands-on learning, you’ll love Learn Libre.

Our core lessons follow the Montessori science sequence, which builds an understanding of the natural world step by step and connects big ideas together over time. You don’t need to be familiar with Montessori to use Learn Libre, but if you are, you’ll recognize many of our topics and the style of our activities. You’ll also be excited to see that we’ve gone beyond the traditional Montessori lessons to introduce topics in anatomy, physics, chemistry, and more!

Yes! And not just our lessons – every single resource, including the website itself, is available in Spanish (we don’t skimp). Click on the globe icon in the menu to switch languages.

Not much! Our goal is to make it easy for you to teach science. The lessons are open-and-go, with everything you need for easy prep. They’re simple enough for kids to navigate on their own, but since we’re not into parking kids in front of a screen, you might want to guide them through the hands-on portions depending on their age.

We’ve also heard from tons of adults who tell us they learned something new while watching our videos, so don’t be surprised if you end up just as into the lessons as the kids are!

Maybe it’s because we help them fall in love with the natural world. Maybe it’s because they get to run the experiments themselves instead of watching someone else do it. Maybe it’s because our lessons grab their brains with big ideas, wild stories, unexpected explosions … and the occasional poop joke. The best way to get it is to see it for yourself! Watch one of our free lessons to see what all the hype is about.

It could be because we make STEM topics easy to teach, and get kids excited to learn hard stuff. Or maybe it’s that we focus just as much on creative problem-solving as we do on teaching big ideas. Here’s what some of our members have said:

I think you’ve hit the sweet spot in terms of giving just the right amount of info to inform as well as spark curiosity, and the images and language used are really clear.

Candice (Head of School & Former Science Teacher)

I’ve never seen my daughter sit through a lesson like this. Usually she says she HATES science … we’re working on it haha. But she was so engaged with the story you told in the lesson and was even excited to do the experiment.

Laney (Homeschool Parent)

Thank you for this! The idea you shared here about introducing Venn Diagrams as a way to think more deeply about their investigations was amazing: simple, impactful, shows evidence of thinking (more than drawing a picture and copying a fact does) … your resources will make my work easier and be beneficial to students.

April (Elementary Teacher)
